The SoCal Regional Gear Library is a regional, mobile bike camping gear library that shares gear for bikecamping trips.
The gear library is run by members of four grassroots bicycling groups rooted in the Southern California region.
We have come together to create this project with the goal of collaborating in peer-to-peer education around bike camping and safety, and to organize regional bike tours.
We are actively gathering supplies to support our regional bike tours, so if you are able to help out, please consider donating funds or bike camping supplies. If you have supplies you would like to donate, please contact us!
If you would like to join us on our next tour, keep an eye out for upcoming dates.

Meet the Organizations:
Cumbia Bike Club (CBC)
@cumbiabikeclub
CBC is a decolonial and anti-imperialist bike collective of and for BIPOC femmes, gender-expansive, and queer folks to reclaim our power and feel safe riding in urban spaces through music and art. We formed out of the need to foster safe and welcoming bike rides with a message of using our bikes as a tool for collective liberation in intersectional movements.

LA VACAcicleta
@lavacacicleta
Based in the San Fernando Valley since 2021, Los Angeles Valley Arts and Community Alliance (LA VACAcicleta) mission is to mobilize resources and amplify expressions of system impacted populations through a multidisciplinary approach to media arts and education. Rooted in mobility justice, we travel with our cargo bike and take up public space to connect and build community in the San Fernando Valley.

Radical Adventure Riders (RAR)
Southern California Chapter
@rar.southernca
The Southern California chapter joined RAR in 2023, with core groups in San Diego and the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. We are dedicated to creating space for BIPOC women, Queer, and Trans folks interested in beginning their journey cycling in the outdoors. As a new chapter, we witnessed the need to strengthen knowledge and share resources. We joined this coalition to form stronger connections with BIPOC-led initiatives is Southern California and collectively strengthen our skills as leaders to bring our immediate communities outdoors.

Roots in Motion
@rimbicycles
Our mission is to foster inter-generational health and resilience through diverse ancestral wisdom. Through holistic hikes, walks for wellness, and bike heart tours, we transcend urban boundaries and foster connections with oneself, the natural environment, and cultural knowledge. Our educators are deeply rooted in Los Angeles and believe in the power of peer education in building community and access to the outdoors. This approach underlines our commitment to providing culturally relevant services that resonate with our BIPOC communities and instill empowered everyday solutions.
